Do I really need to put SPOILER? Anyway, 61 of you voted and the result is on our facebook in the trends and results folder. Not posting the photo so we spoil it for everyone. Think it's obvious ***** *** **** is a clear winner with practically 50% of the votes. The remaining 50% were split pretty much even between the other two songs *** and ** ******.

Floynter Fiction!

Random House Children's Books has acquired two picturebooks by McFly band members Tom Fletcher and Dougie Poynter. Publisher for children's colour and licensing Fiona Macmillan bought world rights through Stephanie Thwaites at Curtis Brown. The books will be illustrated by Garry Parsons. The first title is called The Dinosaur that Pooped Christmas and will be published in October this year. It tells the story of what happens when a baby dinosaur's appetite runs away with itself, and what happens when he has to return Christmas back where it belongs.

Macmillan said: "We are thrilled to have acquired this funny and original text from two very talented voices for today: Tom and Dougie, and for what could well be the first in series of books for the little dinosaur! Their shared love of weaving wonderful stories and a passion for children's books shone through when we met. This is a story with for the whole family and one that will really make small boys howl with glee!"

Tom Fletcher and Dougie Poynter from McFly have landed a publishing deal to produce two children's picture books. This October, Random House Children's Books will release The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas.

Tom Fletcher describes the plot as being "about a boy who gets a dinosaur for Christmas which goes on an unstoppable festive eating rampage until Christmas is gone". "The only way to get Christmas back is for the dinosaur to poop it out."

Despite the comedy title, the pair are taking their writing task seriously.

"We want people to know that this book comes from a genuine passion for writing and reading and it's hopefully the first of many," said Tom Fletcher.

"We wrote what we found funny, a book we would have loved as kids. And we hope parents will enjoy it just as much as their children."

The book will be illustrated by Garry Parsons, whose previous work includes There's an Ouch in my Pouch.

McFly are on tour in the UK after all the band members recently tried their luck on reality shows.

Dougie Poynter won I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!, Harry Judd won Strictly Come Dancing, Danny Jones competed in Popstar to Operastar and Tom Fletcher faced ITV show The Cube.

Fletcher and Poynter are both fans of children's picture books and admit they "spend hours" in book shops to "get inspiration when writing".

"I think it's easy to see that this book comes from Dougie's fascination with dinosaurs," commented Tom Fletcher. "My love for Christmas and a shared obsession with poop."

Transworld has acquired the first official book by UK boy band McFly, who formed in 2004 and have had success with albums including “Wonderland” and “Room on the 3rd Floor”. Editorial director Michelle Signore bought world rights in the book, which will be published this autumn, through Prestige Management. Title and publication date are to be confirmed.

------------------------

McFly have signed a deal to release a book on their rise to fame. The memoir, to be released through Transworld Publishers, will chart the journey of Harry Judd, Dougie Poynter, Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher from their early days sharing a house in Finchley to becoming the youngest band ever to reach number one with their debut album. The book is promised to be "a frank, funny and original insight into the lives of one of the UK's best-loved bands", through which readers "will get to know the men behind McFly in a way they never thought they would". A release from Transworld continues: "It will include surprising tales of growing up in the limelight and the euphoric highs and desperate lows along the way. But, more than that, it will shine a light on what it takes to make it to the top and stay there for nine years, all told in their unique and inimitable style." Further details, including the book's title, publication date and cover art, will be released shortly.

British pop rockers Mcfly are set to lift the lid on the band's 10 years together by releasing their memoirs. Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter, and Harry Judd became a group in 2002, and hit the big-time two years later (04) with the release of their hit debut Room on the 3rd Floor. They have since released four more records, and are still big stars in the U.K., with Poynter winning reality show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! earlier this year (12), and Judd waltzing his way to be crowned champion of Strictly Come Dancing in December. The pop stars will now document their lives in the spotlight in a new book - and they've promised to reveal all.

Taking to his Twitter.com account, Fletcher writes, "Massive news, after almost 9 years (sic) we are writing our first McFLY book. Our autobiography is coming later this year...we have LOTS to tell! "We've started talking through our lives and experiences of the past 10 years. We've seen and done some pretty crazy stuff. For those asking why there hasn't been a book sooner, we didn't want to do one of those tacky books only a couple of years into our career. We wanted to wait until we really had something to say, and we are now at that stage in our career where we can tell the REAL stories". The biography will be released through Transworld publishers later this year (12).

--------------

Want to know every single little thing there is to know about McFly? Well, you’re in luck, as the boys are planning to release a tell-all biography about their journey to fame, fortune and Reality TV victory. Dougie Poynter, Danny Jones, Tom Fletcher and Harry Judd have signed a deal with Transworld publishers to release a tome this autumn, and the book promises to give the boys’ fans a warts and all account of the band’s time in the spotlight. “[It] will include surprising tales of growing up in the limelight and the euphoric highs and desperate lows along the way,” say the publishers.

So why the delay in releasing their memoirs? One Direction are on their second book already. Singer Tom Fletcher tweeted to tell fans that the boys wanted to wait until they actually had a long enough career to have something interesting to write about, “Massive news, after almost 9 years we are writing our first Mcfly book. Our autobiography is coming later this year...we have Lots to tell,” he said on the social networking site. "We've started talking through our lives and experiences of the past 10 years. We've seen and done some pretty crazy stuff. For those asking why there hasn't been a book sooner, we didn't want to do one of those tacky books only a couple of years into our career. We wanted to wait until we really had something to say, and we are now at that stage in our career where we can tell the Real stories.” Candid, fun and surprisingPublishers Transworld seem equally excited about the book’s release.

“I am absolutely thrilled that Dougie, Harry, Danny and Tom have chosen to publish their book with Transworld this autumn,” says Michelle Signore, Editorial Director of Transworld. “After nearly a decade together, the time feels right for McFly to tell their story and it promises to be candid, fun – and surprising!” As long as the book contains plenty of pictures of Harry Judd with this shirt off we’ll be happy.

Jessie J cooked for McFly....

Posted by Kel McGowan on March 9, 2012 at 7:50 PM Comments comments (0)

'Party Girl' group McFly are working on their sixth album and are hoping to recruit Jessie J to record a duet with them. McFly want to record a duet with Jessie J. The 'Party Girl' group are producing their next album by themselves, and hope to get the 'Price Tag' singer into the studio after they met her during the making of their last record, 'Above the Noise'. Singer and guitarist Danny Jones said: ''We're recording in June. ''Once we get everything ready we'd love to get anybody who'd like to collaborate on it. ''When we were recording the last album with Dallas Austin, Jessie popped in and cooked us a bit of dinner so it would be cool to get her.'' The band has taken some down time over the last year, with drummer Harry Judd and bassist Dougie Poynter, appearing on UK reality TV shows 'Strictly Come Dancing' and 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here', but they are now keen to write new songs and hope to release something this year. Danny added to the Daily Star newspaper: ''We're always striving for the next great song and being successful in a band is one of the best things ever. ''It's up to the record label when they want to release the album but I would like to get something out this year.'' The band - completed by singer and guitarist Tom Fletcher - are currently on tour in the UK.

P.S we ran a Facebook poll a while ago, and asked who you'd want to see McFly collab with. Jessie J was the clear winner.
